Course Objective

Identify and understand the classification of chemicals/hazardous substances;

Identify, understand and discharge their responsibilities under relevant legislation on chemicals/hazardous substances;

Know how to use Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)

Know how to label, store, handle, use, dispose and transport chemicals/hazardous substances safely;

Know the correct and effective use and maintenance of PPE;

Know the emergency response to accidental release of chemicals/hazardous substances.

Methodology
The workshop will be highly interactive. Lectures, discussions, case studies and hands-on exercises will be used extensively at the workshop to illustrate learning points
