Become CPSM® Certified: The Certification Process

PREPARE

Review the eligibility requirements and begin studying for the exams.

REGISTER

Register and pay for your first exam. After registering for an exam, participants have six months to schedule and take it. Once you pass, register and pay for another exam until you have passed all three.

SCHEDULE

Three ways to take exams:

Pearson Vue Testing Centers
Pearson Vue OnVue remote proctored exams, taken at your location
On-Site testing events

APPLY

After passing all three exams and meeting the required work experience you can apply for certification. ISM’s online application process
makes it easy!

Eligibility Requirements

Three years of full-time, professional supply management experience (nonclerical and nonsupport) with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution or international equivalent;

Five years of full-time, professional supply management experience (nonclerical and nonsupport) without a qualified bachelor’s degree.

CPSM® Exam Details

Earning a CPSM Certification requires participants to take and pass three exams which cover the main segments of supply management.

Once participants pass all exams, they are required to apply for the CPSM Certification. Exam scores are valid for four years, and the application must be submitted while all exam scores are valid.
